Please check with the individual websites for location and time.&nbsp; <strong>Our LD is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">NOT<\/span> holding a caucus\/convention.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Our 24th LD <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">county delegates<\/span> will go to our 6th Congressional District convention to be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 (doors open at 10:00 AM, caucus begins at 11:00 AM) at the House of Awakened Culture (Suquamish Community House), <span class=\"\">7235 NE Pkwy, Suquamish, WA 98392&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/Fa6zvS96zos\">MAP<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>The state convention will be June 17 \u2013 19, 2016 starting at 9:00 AM in Tacoma, WA.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Washington State presidential primary election on May 24,&nbsp;2016 will not be used to choose delegates to the Democratic National Convention.<\/p>\n<p>The national convention will be held July 25 \u2013 28, 2016 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where the presidential nominee will be chosen.&nbsp; The 2016 Democratic convention will leverage technology to bring the convention experience well beyond the hall in an effort to engage more Americans than ever before in the event.&nbsp; With the birthplace of American Democracy as a backdrop, the 2016 convention in Philadelphia will highlight our shared Democratic values and help put the Democratic nominee on a path to victory.<\/p>\n<p>Please check each county&#8217;s Democratic party website for precinct locations and county conventions information:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clallamdemocrats.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clallam County Democrats<\/a> \/ Chair:&nbsp; Roger Fight<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jeffcodemocrats.com\/next-president\/3103-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jefferson County Democrats<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp; \/&nbsp; Chair:&nbsp; Bruce Cowan<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghdemocrats.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grays Harbor Democrats<\/a>&nbsp; \/&nbsp; Chair:&nbsp; Robin Moore<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FAQs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>How many delegates does Washington send to the Democratic National Convention?<\/em><\/strong> Washington State will send 119 delegates to the national convention. 89 of them are chosen through caucus\/convention process and 18 are pledged party leaders and elected officials.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What is a Pledged Party Leader and Elected Official (PLEO)? <\/em><\/strong>PLEOs include big city mayors, statewide elected officials, state legislative leaders, and other state, county, and local elected officials and party leaders. If you hold one of these positions you are eligible to run as a PLEO the day after the state convention.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>How are PLEOs and at-large delegates and alternates selected? <\/em><\/strong>The 12 PLEOs, 19 at-large delegates, and 7 at-large alternates will be elected the day after the state convention, June 19, 2016.
