Vote NO on I-1366!

Notice from our WA State Democratic Party:

There’s a critical measure on the ballot this year, and we need to work together to ensure it’s defeated.

Radical conservative activist Tim Eyman’s Initiative 1366 would drastically change our state government, and could create an $8 billion dollar hole in our budget.

I-1366 would force our leaders in Olympia to either amend our state’s constitution to require a two-thirds vote to raise revenue, or face a massive cut in the sales tax. This is a bad and false choice that was written specifically by and for special interests in order to make massive cuts to important programs.

It’s time to put a stop to Eyman’s dangerous policy agenda. Pledge to vote no on Initiative 1366 >>

Word is getting out that Eyman’s I-1366 is a bad deal for Washington: After leading by 13 points in July, supporters are now polling dead even with opponents. But with 16 percent of the electorate still undecided, the measure could go either way.

Nearly half of the money in Washington’s general fund presently comes from the sales tax, which would be dramatically altered by I-1366. This revenue is essential for funding education and providing critical social services that middle-class families depend on.

Not only that, but this measure holds lawmakers hostage by requiring them to choose between two bad choices. I-1366 is politics at its worst. It’s a handwritten special interest measure designed to wreck our state government.

Stand up to Tim Eyman and this terrible policy initiative. Say you’ll vote no on Initiative 1366 >>

It’s up to us to ensure prosperity for Washington families. We can’t do it without you.

Thank you for your support,

WA Democrats
