Members of the 24th LD Dems: Hold the date for a general membership meeting on Saturday, February 24 at the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Center with a potluck at noon and the meeting scheduled from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. The general membership will elect representatives to serve on Standing Committees at the State Convention: Credentials, Platform and Rules, with the additional option of sending a representative to serve on the Affirmative Action Committee.
There will also be consideration of endorsing candidates for State Representative. The 24th Legislative District Executive Committee unanimously endorsed Steve Tharinger and Mike Chapman, and at the meeting, the same endorsement considerations will be brought before the 24th LD Dems membership.
Members who wish to submit a resolution for consideration should email 24th LD Chair Matt Sircely at mattsircely <at> gmail.com by Wednesday, February 14.
Stay tuned for proposed rules and additional agenda items, and proxy forms. The 24th LD Dems bylaws afford members the opportunity to vote-by-proxy, but each voting member at the meeting can only hold one proxy form. Hope to see you there! Save the date!
